Technology Improving Communication in Education Field

Technology Improving Communication in Education Field

Since 1992, evolution of communication and technological advances have made way in the communications workplace as a mode for receipt and delivery of strategic messages and advances in work and in the educational realm as well. Such advances have also made way in education within the classroom designed to enhance education, this technology is becoming more present in education around the world (Bernard, 2017). According to Brian Greenberg, CEO of Silicon Schools, there are programs designed for helping students to learn at their own pace. This program is called DreamBox and it adapts the way of teaching to the student who is using the program as all students learn at their own pace. Enabling this technology within a classroom can help students elementary through college by replacing standardized textbooks and ways of learning. Other educational opportunities from learning online are students learning to self-teach and problem solve.

This program has changed the work of communicators as well as influenced the training that they need in order to be successful. Educators are simultaneously determining what knowledge students need in order to thrive in a technology-saturated workforce environment (Bernard, 2017). Furthermore, assistive technology is utilized by students with disabilities to enhance their functional capabilities. This type of advancement in a classroom setting helps students with disabilities to communicate with their teachers and peers that may not be able to do so otherwise (Waddell, 2015). “Technology can also prompt pedagogical change and address issues that affect learning, teaching and social organization. Technology can therefore be seen as both a tool and a catalyst for change” (Waddell, 2015).

Training for the software can be requested upon the website under "request a demo". This feature will enable communicators to understand the learning software prior to launching this in the classroom. Other tutorials and videos can be found via the Dreambox Learning website for further training or at Request a Demo - DreamBox Learning.
