Advancements – Past and Present of Technology

As technology is advancing, our demand for advancements in media is expected. According to Science Direct, “attention is focused upon the adoption (demand) rather than the creation (supply) of new technology” (Lippman, 1984). The most used devices are currently the mobile phone and a laptop as they provide content desired that is portable and convenient.

Past Laptop: The first portable computer was called Osborne 1 built by Adam Osborne in 1981. It weighed 24 pounds and had a 5-inch screen and cost $1795 (Rezaee, 2020).
